Three custom-built, fully off-grid campervans from €109/day. Solar power, onboard water and battery autonomy mean no campsites, no hook-ups, no limits, sleep wherever the road takes you. Made for long road trips, from the Dutch coast to the fjords of Scandinavia. Pick up near Amsterdam & Schiphol.
Most rental campervans depend on campsites for power and water. Ours don't. Every Adelaar campervan is built to be completely self-sufficient, so you can park, sleep and live anywhere, for days at a time, without plugging into anything.
Off-grid doesn't mean roughing it. Every campervan carries the same hand-built systems that bring the comfort of home into the wild.
550 to 1,290 watts of rooftop solar charge a 3.65 to 7.2 kWh battery, even on cloudy days. Enough for a fridge-freezer, lighting, laptops and 230V appliances, day after day, without ever plugging in.
Every campervan has a boiler: a hot shower wherever you park, however long you've been off-grid. The Horizon and Zonnewijzer have an outdoor shower; the Albatros adds a full indoor shower.
An 80 to 150 litre water tank with filter delivers filtered drinking water from the tap. Your own supply on board means staying autonomous for days, far from civilisation.
Gas hob or induction (Albatros), always with an oven, fridge-freezer and a Nespresso machine. Fresh croissants and a proper meal, in the middle of nowhere.
Scandinavia is where an off-grid campervan comes into its own. Norway, Sweden and Finland have a centuries-old right to roam (allemansrätt) that lets you camp freely in nature, and total autonomy is exactly what makes that possible. From Amstelveen you can be at the Danish border in a day.
Wake up beside a fjord with no one around. Off-grid power and water let you linger in places where there isn't a campsite for miles.
Thanks to allemansrätt you can park up by a lake, swim, and sleep under the trees, fully legal, fully self-sufficient.
The midnight sun, dramatic peaks and empty beaches. A long haul rewarded, and the ultimate test of a van built to be independent.
Yes. Every campervan has a boiler for hot water, so you can shower warm wherever you park, even after days off-grid. The Horizon and Zonnewijzer have an outdoor shower; the Albatros adds a full indoor shower.
Yes. The water tank (80 to 150 litres) is fitted with a filter, giving you filtered drinking water from the tap anywhere. No need to carry bottled water.
Off-grid means the campervan is fully self-sufficient. Solar panels and a leisure battery supply your power, an onboard tank and filter give you water, and you cook on gas, so you never need an electrical hook-up or a service point. You can park and sleep in remote places, far from campsites.
Yes. All of Europe is permitted and Scandinavia is one of the most popular routes with our guests. Off-grid autonomy is ideal there: Norway, Sweden and Finland have a right to roam (allemansrätt) that lets you camp freely in nature, exactly what these vans are built for.
With sunshine the solar panels keep the battery topped up indefinitely. Even on cloudy days the battery and water capacity comfortably cover several days of normal use before you need to refill water or find sun.
